"Death" Scene: Tyler: "I'm not buying it."

I spin around ready to scream, but I end by collapsing in relief. I'm held secure in Tyler's arms. Tall, lanky, clumsy Tyler. His usually clear blue eyes are clouded with worry.
"Hey, hey, hey! Trisha, are you okay?"
Drawing a shaky breath I step away, breaking the circle of his arms around me. "Yes. I'm fine."
"No," Tyler steps forward and puts his hands on my upper arms. "You are not 'okay'". He ducks his head to look into my eyes. I try not to look at him, but he won't let me. "What's wrong, Trish?"
Pulling up a smile I say, "Nothing, you goof! You just scared me silly." Shaking my head and adding, "Sneaking up on me like that, geez!" Lightly I slap his arm.
"I'm not buying it." His words come out flat.
I look up at him with questions in my eyes.
"You're selling it for all you're worth, but I want you to know I'm not buying." His gaze deepens. "I know you're not telling me the truth."
I look away ashamed, my eyes and head tilted down and away from my close friend.
"I love you."
Startled I look up, shock written across my face, but he's walking away, his back facing me.
'Now what?' I silently ask myself. My answer: 'I honestly don't know.'
